Maa Brahmacharini

                                      


                              On the second day of navratri Brahmacharini is worshiped.In the hand of the Brahmacharini are garlands and kamandals.

                                     


                        It is said in the scriptures that Maa Durga in the form of parvati gave birth to Parvatraja as a daughter there and at the behest of  Maharshi Narada did hard penance in her life to have lord Mahadev as her husband. She is known as Tapaswarini or Brahmacharini because of her thousands of years of penance. She had pleased Mahadev with his penance.So this form of worship and praise is done and the second Navratra.

                                            

                             Devotees and monks get endless godd Fortune from seeing the form of goddess Durga in the form of and ascetic worship of this form is extremely fruitful for ascetic. Goddess Brahmacharini worshiped on the second day of navratri.Varanasi is the only space in India where all the 9 temple of 9 Devi Durga of navratri are located .

Rani Sipri's Mosque

                                                                        Rani sipri's mosque is located in Ahmadabad , Gujarat. This mosque is built in 1514 by Queen sipri , the Hindu wife of Mahmud Begda , a sultan who ruled Gujarat. It is also known as masjid-e-nagina ( jewel of mosque )  because of the intricate jali carvings on its walls. The queen commissioned this mosque in 1514 when her husband executed their son for some misdemeanor. After her death , the queen was buried in this mosque.
