Salangpur Hanumanji Temple

                                                                   


                                    Salangpur Hanumanji Temple is a Hindu temple located in salangpur , Gujarat. It is dedicated to hanumanji in the form of Kastbhanjan. This temple story has become a charter for the healing ritual performed at this temple. The idol of hanuman here is a stout figure with a handlebar mustache , crushing a female demon under his foot and baring his teeth. Standing among sculpted foliage full of fruit bearing monkey attendants. The image of this temple is said to be so powerful that a mere look at it will drive the evil spirits out of people affected by them. 

                                                     


                                Saturday is the  designated day for a special ritual for those affected by mental illnesses and other disorders. This hanumanji temple is considered most holy and sacred.Salangpur is easily reached by bus or car , as it is only 82 km from Bhavnagar. There can be a long wait of the temple gate sometimes , mainly on Saturday. The temple was renovated recently.

                                                   


                The temple is really big and spacious and the statue of load Hanuman is really impressive. Make sure to collect the holy water from the well. There are counters where you can pay your donations againt a receipt for the same. You will also given a plastic bag containing prasad in the form of sukhdis , a Gujarat sweets. Food is served free to all visitors at the temple's dining room. Around 5,000 people take prasad in the form of lunch daily. This figure will be at least double on Saturday. Booklets of Hanuman chalisa are available in all forms and sizes at very nominal rants. There is a dharmshala located near the gate of the temple , where the people can stay overnight if they wish.

Rani Sipri's Mosque

                                                                        Rani sipri's mosque is located in Ahmadabad , Gujarat. This mosque is built in 1514 by Queen sipri , the Hindu wife of Mahmud Begda , a sultan who ruled Gujarat. It is also known as masjid-e-nagina ( jewel of mosque )  because of the intricate jali carvings on its walls. The queen commissioned this mosque in 1514 when her husband executed their son for some misdemeanor. After her death , the queen was buried in this mosque.
