A dedicated few are left to look after st John's Anglican church in Surat and only a handful still make it to the regular services held by Father Graham warren.

This Anglican church is also known as Christ church. The traveling Anglican priest is heartbroken to see the historic house of worship close for good, but with the writing on the wall,fr warren believes the closure is a sign of the times in the bush. The cost of the construction was Rs. 80,000/- at that time. The then district magistrate of Surat Mr.John Morrison supervised the construction. The BDTA has allowed the local I.P mission congregation to use this church for worshiping and Sunday service and there after the C.N.I congregation is using the church. It is a sad fact that this church is closed now even through it is very famous.
