Matel Khodiyar Mandir

                                          

                Matel is a temple of Khodiyar mataji located in Wankaner taluka of Rajkot district , Gujarat. This is approximately 17 km from Wankaner city. Mataji temple is situated on a high rock.

                                 

                                Here are four statues of Khodiyar mataji. Khodiyar maa is a goddess worshiped mainly in the Gujarat and in some parts of Rajasthan in India.

                              

                    Next to the temple is an old tree. There is Khodhiyar mataji's trident , which grows on its own. The trident was small at the time of construction of the temple but now it has grown a lot , it is a miracle.

                                          

                   According to a legend there is crocodile of Khodiyar mataji. Which is sometimes seen even now. The crocodile is perched wotha gold nose ring. The crocodile has been there for years. He gives darshan to the true devotee of Khodiyar mataji. That is how many devotees come , He must visit darshan. In front of Dhara is the idol of crocodile the town whose vision is also important. There is also belief that the Dharo never dries up. There is always water in it. The ground water is drunk without wasting. No one living in mattel smattel drinks filtered water. Even after drinking water without wasting it , the people of the village are still healthy. That is miracle.
